It actually looks like normal swimmers fabric... Now if it was denim, then there'd be a problem. (They always make you do the 'learn to swim in your clothes' part in your jeans because jeans soak up a lot of water and become like lead.)SashatheMan said:it looks like some material that will soak up alot of water, become really heavy and drawn the muslim chick
yeah enshallah. you know, allah helps you, but unless you try, it wont happen.soha said:they are pretty spiffy
id wear em if i was a hejabi

yeah thats rightveterandoggy said:yeah enshallah. you know, allah helps you, but unless you try, it wont happen.
it wouldnt be denim for the main fact that the intended wearers may not all be able to swim. it would decrease the customer range if it made you sink instead of swim.malkin86 said:It actually looks like normal swimmers fabric... thats what i am thinking. how the hell can u be comfortable in that. sunbaking would be a torture and the look of the costume is ridiculous. if muslim women choose not to take their clothes at the beach , then beach is not for themTerrbleSpellor said:What's the point of a "burqini"?
The purpose of a bikini is to be relaxed and unburdened by closed (and to show of to people at the beach).. This thing in the article is ridiculous.. is hot.. and is just as bad as a burqa.
Maybe because we choose to embrace Islam, and contrary to the rubbish you've been fed, we love Islam. Anyway, as for the 'burqini', I would never wear it. I don't even like the beachTerrbleSpellor said:What's the point of a "burqini"?

I swear i don't know why islamic women, as soon as they reach a decent country, don't tell their husbands to piss off and quit islam lol.
(well to answer my own question its because they are uneducated and have no direction)
I dont see signs saying "must wear bikini, otherwise chuck a u turn, "SashatheMan said:thats what i am thinking. how the hell can u be comfortable in that. sunbaking would be a torture and the look of the costume is ridiculous. if muslim women choose not to take their clothes at the beach , then beach is not for them
Theyre not following Islam for their husbands sake, nor do they follow Islam forcefully, U have a really twisted view of Islam, and Muslim women!Terrblespellor said:I swear i don't know why islamic women, as soon as they reach a decent country, don't tell their husbands to piss off and quit islam lol.
Uneducated, and have no direction?(well to answer my own question its because they are uneducated and have no direction)
lol..TerrbleSpellor said:Yes Physician, Islamic women (excepting those in countris like Australia where education for both sexes is compulsory) are uneducated.
Why waste it on women who shall never account to anything more then a baby machine anyway?
Exactly!Slyfly said:^I know plenty of Muslim females overseas (eg: in Lebanon, Iran etc) who are highly educated......so that was a pretty ridiculous statement
well MR when you actually travel overseas and see ppl (unlike your anglo world views) maybe you will see that other ppl are also educated :-o women and men of different backgrounds... my family overseas have all completed high school (except two guys who are repeating) i have many cousins in uni and some have completed and are succesful in their chosen professionsTerrbleSpellor said:Yes. The reason why I brought it up was that kids are taught to swim in their clothes in jeans because it's the heaviest article of clothing that you're likely to be wearing if you were to fall in the water somewhere. They soak up water and become like lead pants.veterandoggy said:it wouldnt be denim for the main fact that the intended wearers may not all be able to swim. it would decrease the customer range if it made you sink instead of swim.
the hijab? hell no. it is very light, even soaked (or the ones my sister and mum use anyway.)malkin86 said:The reason why I brought it up was that kids are taught to swim in their clothes in jeans because it's the heaviest article of clothing that you're likely to be wearing if you were to fall in the water somewhere. I wonder if muslim ladies who wear the hijab should learn to swim in the full hijab (not the burqini) at some stage... if it's wet, wouldn't it be heavier than jeans?
