Hey
Does anyone know what source-path-sink system is?

I can't find anything on the net for it.

That is a transport system in phloem of plants. Do you use the Heinemann Boilogy Contexts books? It's in there if you do.

source and sink (from memory) is a theory which deals with the transportation of material in the phloem (product of photosynthesis)

where food is made at the leaves (through photosynthesis), AKA source, water from xyloem diffuse through and dissolves the food, and then, it flows to other part of the plant which needs the food, at which case, the food is transported out AKA sink...

The source and sink method is when substances are transported from one section of a phloem to another section. When water enters the phloem by osmosis, it creates pressure in the phloem and forces the substances to enter the next part of the phloem. This process continues until it reaches its final destination, known as its sink. The substances enter the section at a source.
