OKAY.

I actually found MC quite tricky after like question 10.

Wtf was with the communication question on the wavelength / sound shadow. I got 1400Hz +, what did you guys get?

I put W as the substrate, as that is what the enzyme acted upon.

For that i put brain. Biology so ez not even considered hsc exam.
For those that did communication, what did you do for that 4 marker on sonic shadow. I put 1400-5000hz but others put greater than 1400hz.

Yeaaaa you're right - it was 1400-5000. I got tricked and wrote down 180-1400 Hz :(

Also what did everyone put for what is "X"? I put receptors in the skin as the answer.
They said core body temp though + posterior hypothalamus is responsible for initiating warm-up mechanisms [so brain]

Technically you should have said > 1400Hz or 1400Hz + since the sound shadow would be any value greater than that right up until 20,000Hz (limit of human hearing), not just up to 5000Hz.

I did 1400-5000 according to the figure, w/e but the questions in the discussion group were the same for a few of the harder q's

The ebola virus question was the worst, I was thinking of vaccines while the question was asking about treatment, and vaccines are a form of prevention, so confusing lol.
They treated the patient with plasma that contains immunoglobins so it would help to defeat the virus [I think]

I did antibodies + extra haemoglobins - oxygen to replace those lost by excess bleeding.

I also got stuck on this question. Could remember exactly what plasma had in it.

Plasma doesn't contain cellular components so the extra haemoglobin/O2 wouldn't necessarily be relevant but you're right about antibodies [which is what I think they wanted in the response] + also to increase blood volume I think

Yea I was pretty surprised when that popped up. That and the comparison of movement of sugars in human tissue and plant tissue question were similar to some in my trial exam.

i think its meant to be greater than 1400 since at 1400 Hz you would have the wavelength = length of head which wouldn't create a sound shadow
