My biology marks were distinctively lower than every other mark. Were other people the same? If we all performed poorly will we be scaled up?

No, if it was a particularly hard exam and a lot of people performed poorly it would of affected how your raw mark was aligned to your exam mark.

so does this mean we wont get scaled up tomorrow! sorry i dont understand the system! everyone ive asked said biology marks were super low when they were expecting higher. many top schools only got one band 6 student in the year! if the exam was marked harshly can we be pushed up tomorrow?

If the exam was hard/marked harshly, your results have already been adjusted upwards by the alignment process.
I'm sure there are no fewer top bands in biology than last year.

Out of over 17,000 only 6% of students got a Band 6 this year, this is much lower than usual. Total of students receiving a Band 6 in bio are usually higher than chem and physics.
