Well I have a Biology practical coming up and the teacher told us that the practical is in either 'A Local Ecosystem' module or 'Patterns in Nature' (up to section 3) module. Should I list all the practicals and write each one up as a report, or do you believe it's a waste of time? How would you prepare for this practical? Would anyone happen to have reports on 'A Local Ecosystem' up to section 3 of 'Patterns in Nature'? That'd probably help me greatly.

The overall practical has a large weighting (25%), and I'm not good with practicals...I need advice. Sorry about all the questions...

Thx :).

read through your notes on practicals.
use preliminary excel bio to revise it is really good.
you could try to practice writing down pracs i.e
investigate the abundance and distribution of weeds (try to be more specific this is just an example) in you backyard.
follow the investigative process. aim, hypthesis, variables, risk assesment, materials, method, results, conclusion and evaluation.
go over what techniques are best i.e capture -recapture, quadrat square
e.t.c
good luck

I would also like to know, as I have a bio prac coming as well. Could anyone post all their practicals for 'A Local Ecosystem' and most of 'Patterns in Nature'? If possible, the validity and reliaibility included in each experiment as well? Attaching the practicals would be greatly appreciated, and other bos'ers would most likely benefit as well. Thank you.
