Hi guys,

I am after this particular practical for my HSC Biology Dot Point Summaries: Would anyone be able to help me out with the results? I was a new student to Biology after this practical was completed at my school late last year. So, that means that I haven't got the practical in my records for the Dot Points. This particular right hand side Dot Point is in Module 1- Maintaining a Balance.

Choose equipment or resources to perform a first-hand investigation to gather first-hand data to draw transverse and longitudinal sections of phloem and xylem tissue

Has anyone got the results/drawing???

Thanks!

Just google the transverse and longitudinal phloem and xylem in google images and then draw sketches. It's really simple.

Just get some pics that clearly show the sieve tubes in the phloem and the sieve plates.
Transverse(cross section)
Longitudinal (Top to bottom)

Those ones are average alright :) .
just make sure if the exam gives you colour ones, you know how to spot them.
the sieve plates are normall in the sieve tube, the dark blacky spots.
yeah.
goodluck. i have photos, if you want PM me, and i will snap a shot and upload them.
