Birthday Letters - 'Your Paris' poem (1 Viewer)

Does the "torturer" and "Minotaur" at the end refer to her obsessions towards her father or her fears of bumping into her former lover Richard Sassoon in Paris?

My teacher says it refers to Sassoon, but the internet says her father..
So what should I write in my HSC essay??

Any ideas are fine as long as they are backed up with evidence/reasoning. Personally our teacher said it was her father - and I interpreted it that way too, as it appears to be a direct reference to his other poem on the Minotaur, which was clearly a reference to her father.
