Hi guys I'm eligible for bonus points under this 'EAS scheme' due to the type of school I go to. Which means I automatically was applied for and have recently just received the 2 letters from UAC confirming my eligibility and the universities that have given me 'bonus points' (e.g USYD, unsw, Macquarie, UWS etc). I'm just wondering if anyone has any background information on this regarding the amount of bonus points I will receive in regards to my type of disadvantage and the specific universities I have stated. Thanks!

So they don't tell us at all? One of my friends asked UAC about this and told her that students are told early next year/when offers come. But that may be totally false. I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of the maximum EAS points one can get from universities (yes I know that all universities are different). My case being that I come from a 'disadvantaged school'.

Well, from what I know they don't tell you how much you get.
But I've heard that the maximum EAS points one can get is 10.
But I doubt you'd get that much for just coming from a disadvantaged school.

Oh ok thanks for the reply! I was just thinking about that and wanted to seek confirmation on the issue of maximum points. I know quite a number of people get bonus points based on being on a disadvantaged school so the likelihood of getting many points, let alone 10 is minimal. Overall all I need is about 1-2 points to make it above my desired course cutoff of last year, considering it may be close to this years cutoff, I'm still hoping that with the right amount of EAS points, I'll be able to make it to my course :)

Thanks alot! :) if anyone else knows anything, do tell me :)
As far as I know, I think a student who attended a PSP funded school within the set regional/rural codes stipulated by the Uni can receive anywhere up to a maximum of 4 bonus points.

You might want to have a look on the Uni's website and see if they have any further info.

I thought it was a maximum of 5 points.

I'm not sure how many points I'll get, I applied because of 'financial disadvantage'. I need like 2.5 points for my first preference course though. Fingers crossed!

Ultimately I think that it depends upon the Uni. However, I am pretty confident for most it is only 4.

Hey guys! Thanks for the input! But just I just wanna say, I didn't go to a rural/regional school but am classified as disadvantaged through the PSP program/school included in Australian gov's national partnership for low socioeconomic status school communities program... I'm pretty sure :) Thanks guys again!
