I'm currently reading a series by Janet Evanovich. The series is called Stephanie Plum and it's really witty and a great read. I think there's about 8 books in it.

FYI Jack Kerouac was writing during the 1950's and was part of the underground beatnix sub culture, also writing about the sex and drugs that the jazz.beat undergroung culture were infamous for ....he wrote about his little road trips and encounters with very interesting people....he challenged those with power in the US blah blah blah

i would recommend 'On the Road' and 'Dharma Bums'.

I nearly finished On The Road (umm, I actually bought it on a SALE) but I guess it's just not my type of book. I struggled through each and every page.

And for the Asian books thingy, have you read Shanghai Baby? It's okay. Quite explicit.

well the only asian books i've read are

1. Memoirs of a geisha
and
2. Falling Leaves

i prefer crime and mystery books but it seems like most ppl here aren't really into it. anyway, i like Jeffry Deaver, James Patterson, Kathy Reichs and Patricia Cornwell.

Oh and also i enjoy reading Harry Potter. I can't wait till the next book is out!!!!
