so wat sort of questions did she ask u in the interview??
"Do you want me to hire you?"
"Yes"

That's more than 2 seconds.

I'm going to go hand in my resume at Boost Liverpool and see what happens to test the ugly/pretty theory.

I'm relatively ugly.

Or a paper bag.

I reckon that would draw customers.

i notice that boost employees are very "made up"-with make up, hair spray etc. and they are mostly teenagers too. its kinda like other retail places such as supre or valley girl where they hire good looking people. but i heard crap stories about boost-being low hourly wages...

Wages vary from store to store, by as much as $5 an hour.

Generally speaking it's not great pay, though.

simple retail probably wont pay well anyway, u've really got to mix something into it - like liquor, gambling, service (hospitality) etc.

Simple retail can pay pretty well. I get $14.50 an hour in retail, and I've been getting that since I was 16. $12.50 before then.

But yeah, I was wondering how much Boost pay, I always got the impression it was around about $5-8ish p/h, does anyone over 18 work there out of interest?
...My boyfriend needs a job, can't imagine he'd want to work at boost though, but even so, he has to take what he can get. Unfortunately for him, I get the feeling most retail stores do prefer girls, even if they won't admit it. Where I work, they only hire women, which is discrimatory, yes, but I understand their reasoning. Sucks, but that's life. With that in mind, I have noticed a lot of guys working at supre. Random.

I get like $14, before tax. And I'm 19.

But yeah it does vary.
