FK RABOTNICKI:
Westerveld

Terry Gallas Silvestre

Gerrard Fabregas Riise Arteta

Cisse Drogba Bergkamp

Subs: Carrol, McEvely, Anderton, Cooper

I'm giving Bergkamp one last chance.

I don't see why Arteta's so popular. Sociedad bought him as a like for like replacement for Xabi, then offloaded him to Everton because he wasn't good enough to do the job. He doesn't score a lot of goals. He doesn't get all that many assists.

Also.. do defensive midfielders like Makelele actually serve any purpose in Fantasy Football? Excuse my ignorance, but since he doesn't contribute to goal scoring in any direct or indirect manner, isn't any money spent on players like Vieira, Makelele, Keane or Hamann entirely wasted?

Why not? Too many Reds?
Alonso = Fav!! :) If I could pick one red it would be Xabi straight up.

Nah - I'm only entering in the league without the big 4 but now I'm seriously considering in entering both....

By the way - I signed up but how do I know if I'm registered for the BOS one or not?

Under 'leagues', 'BOS fantasy league' should be included. If not join by clicking 'manage leagues' and entering the BOS code posted by copious at the start of the thread.

not necessarily. . . midfielders get points for clean sheets by the team.

yeah makelele picked up alot of points for clean sheets and the odd asisst, im pretty sure he was close to the top 10 mids if not top 15. If alonso stays fit, he could pick up alot of assists.

But wouldn't an attacking MF in a team that defends well earn points for clean sheets as well? Ala Lampard, Scholes.

Yup but the cost more :)

Depends on the balance of your team I guess, whether you go all out on strikers or pack your mids with goal scoring mids and strikers who are guaranteed 10 goals instead of 20 per season.
