not sure if this is the right forum, if not sorry and all that usual stuff...

me and my mates were discussing getting a breath tester today, for use after parties for driving home obviously.

anyone ever used, heard, know anything bout them? are they reliable at all 'cause we had our doubts.

Few of my friends had the small keyring ones.

Cept I dont think they're exactly reliable. It's useful for a rough estimate. But not something to go upon.

Reminds me of the time my teachers took breathe testers on our Sydney camp last year.

Thank f*ck I was hiding in my room the morning we were to leave for home.

Just Google it, or check something out on Ebay even.

You're doing the HSC this year so I'll assume you're all P-Platers, which makes it really easy. Don't drink at all if you plan on driving. Getting back to zero takes a while.

Depends how much you drink.
Also depends on the individual's ability to metabolise alcohol.

When I was doing my RSA the teacher was telling us some people have some rare genetic defect in which when they have 1 std drink it can still register 24hrs later. That's fucked up.

I agree on if you drink then don't drive. Either organise a d-driver, taxi, or just crash over.

if you're a p-plater (obviously since you're at most like 18) then if you have one drink you're going to be over zero, champ

Well they did, and my friends were tested. It was just a random breathe test because they're taking precautions as on previous camps people took alcohol. We had the right to refuse, but that'd look suss? Plus personal choice not to do the test I suppose.

In the end I don't think the teachers should have done it, precaution or no precaution.

Not like they're going to have a drink then drive straight away.

People I know (myself included) do it all the time.

I don't think I know anyone who hasn't driven after drinking at least a few times.

2 solutions to sober up quickly:

1. activated charcoal (7-15 mins)

2. White King ( couple of teaspoons; 3-5 mins)

I meant have your last std drink within 5 minutes of driving.
"straight away"
You do that?

I drive with drinks in my hand and drink them while I am driving.

Pretty retarded to risk losing your p's for one or two drinks.
