ASX is where private companies can go public by listing shares on the ASX, money generated by the sale of shares goes to a company and provides source of funds.

Outline 3 management roles and explain each one.
Interpersonal management role - the interaction and relations between a manager and people .. acting as a leader, to motivate others to reach their potential and fulfill business goals , figurehead as a symbol of the business and liason to act as a link between the business and external associates...

Informational management role - the manager ensures messages are effectively communicated within the business , monitoring and sharing knowledge , acting as a spokesperson to communicate messages to the public, and a disseminator of information to ensure employees understand business happenings..
this ensures the business understands issues, builds relationships connecting from all levels of business, and improves confidence and the strategic direction of the business

Decisional management role is the ability to analyse situations , assess possible alternatives and choose the most appropriate choice for action. it involves acting as a disturbance handler to resolve problems and issues that may arise , an entrepreneur to be plan on the future and be proactive, an efficient resource allocator to minimise wastes and costs and negiotator to resolve conflicts and make an agreement.
After decisions are made , the impacts need to be evaluated for future decision making.

businesses must constantly examine the external environment and be aware of the changes coming out in the near furure.
They must anticipate future changes.

These social developments are primarily due to federal govt. changes therefore, businesses must be aware of the situation of the budget and other factors that determine the govt.s decision.

eg. rasing superann. from 9% to 12% over ten years

A business can use price penetration where the product's price is lowered to below that of competitiors in order to make the product more attractive to consumer. This increases the amount of consumers purchasing the product. If efficient market research has been conducted and the product fits the consumer's needs they are more likely to continue purchasing the product when sales are raised.
This logic is supported in another pricing strategy technique known as loss leaders where the business lowers their product to a price that is essentially unprofitable in order to attract more consumers.

(sorry a tad long and essay like there :))
