ive learnt that you take things in literal sense ages ago, so i dont know why i bothered.
yeh i dont knwo either. becuase making a claim that mobile phones are talking thighs is ridiculous. if it sais tlaking thighs, lets wait for talking thighs. maybe in years time scientist will be able to grow mouths on other bodyparts icluding thighs. kinda like when they attached a human ear to the back of a mouse.

anyway. if you dont take something literally, then then , why do you take the quran as being literal words of god. maybe they are words of a man, posing for god. or words of a guy whose first name is allah, and he doesnt literally think he is a god. i am talking shit ,
but my point is, you have to take things literally, you cannot just pick and choose things from the quran. If something doesnt make any logical sence, you say it doesnt have to be taken literally , but other things like rules for social behaivour have to be obeyed literally words for word.

yes, it offers comfort and also fear to prevent us from sinning. man, my yawns are eating my face. im off
it offers you false comfort , to make you feel that even though your life on earth might not be enjoyable , or that you have poor living conditions or suffer from ilnesses that bring lots of pain, when you die you will go to heaven. This is easily believed , as people hate to live without something to look foward to and it gives then a false sence of security, that no matter what if i believe in god everything later will be fine.

Fear is a great tool used by the early bible/quran authors, who asked them selves, "what if people question the religion and god how can we be sure not to lose these followers?" well bringing fear into the eqaution was a great idea. it basicly prevented people from stepping out of line and fed those them images of hell that they can get into if they question the religion.

Your own god has blinded all you religious fools. He is mocking your futile attempts at gaining approval from him. He is setting impossible and tiresome obstacles you must over come. He continuously spreads lies of Satan himself. But this has only come about from jealousy of the superior power he possesses. Abandon your god, and join the rich and eternal life with Lucifer him self. You will be treated as a royal guest and his palace will accommodate you with all your dark pleasures and desires. Sins are rewarded and you will prosper with a life free of the oppression god enjoys throwing at you.

A win for common sense.

Evolution can't be replaced, court rules

December 21, 2005 - 12:02PM

A US court has ruled it is unconstitutional to teach schoolchildren the intelligent design theory of life as an alternative to evolution, dealing a blow to religious conservatives.

The case, in Pennsylvania, has been closely watched as the first test of a bid by Christian activists to introduce the concept into schools across the United States - despite claims by critics that it violates the separation of church and state.

Intelligent design holds that nature and biological structures are so complex that they must have been designed by an unidentified intelligent being, and not have evolved by chance.

"Our conclusion today is that it is unconstitutional to teach ID as an alternative to evolution in a public school science classroom," US District Court Judge John Jones ruled.

The school board in the north-eastern state's Dover area had ruled that biology classes must include teaching of the intelligent design concept.

But Judje Jones concluded in his 139-page ruling that intelligent design violated the "establishment clause" of the First Amendment of the constitution, which bars a state mandated religion.

"In making this determination, we have addressed the seminal question of whether ID is science. We have concluded that it is not," he concluded.

He reasoned also that "ID cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents".

The judge also lashed out at activist members of the Dover school board whom he said had thrust an "untestable alternative hypothesis" to Darwin's theory of evolution into the classroom.

"The citizens of the Dover area were poorly served by the members of the board who voted for the ID Policy.

"It is ironic that several of these individuals, who so staunchly and proudly touted their religious convictions in public, would time and again lie to cover their tracks and disguise the real purpose behind the ID policy."

The ruling was the latest in a flurry of court judgements on issues relating to the role of religion on US society, which has seen Supreme Court justices rule on the proper use of the 10 Commandments on state property.

hmmm, yeah. did satan by any chance evolve from anything you know of?

puh-lease. you are the only fool, because satan doesnt (or shouldnt) exist for you if you dont believe in a religion. and if you do really believe that satan exists then tell me how he "evolved" and how you came to know that.

dont worry. someone with your knowledge wouldnt be able to give an answer that can even be called irrational.

Kitzmiller v. Dover Area School District

The Judge's final remarks....

"The proper application of both the endorsement and Lemon tests to the facts of this case makes it abundantly clear that the Board’s ID Policy violates the Establishment Clause. In making this determination, we have addressed the seminal question of whether ID is science. We have concluded that it is not, and moreover that ID cannot uncouple itself from its creationist, and thus religious, antecedents. […] The citizens of the Dover area were poorly served by the members of the Board who voted for the ID Policy. It is ironic that several of these individuals, who so staunchly and proudly touted their religious convictions in public, would time and again lie to cover their tracks and disguise the real purpose behind the ID Policy. With that said, we do not question that many of the leading advocates of ID have bona fide and deeply held beliefs which drive their scholarly endeavors. Nor do we controvert that ID should continue to be studied, debated, and discussed. As stated, our conclusion today is that it is unconstitutional to teach ID as an alternative to evolution in a public school science classroom. […] Those who disagree with our holding will likely mark it as the product of an activist judge. If so, they will have erred as this is manifestly not an activist Court. Rather, this case came to us as the result of the activism of an ill-informed faction on a school board, aided by a national public interest law firm eager to find a constitutional test case on ID, who in combination drove the Board to adopt an imprudent and ultimately unconstitutional policy. The breathtaking inanity of the Board’s decision is evident when considered against the factual backdrop which has now been fully revealed through this trial. The students, parents, and teachers of the Dover Area School District deserved better than to be dragged into this legal maelstrom, with its resulting utter waste of monetary and personal resources. […]"
