business studies or economics?? (1 Viewer)

hello,
i am selecting my subjects and i'm picking between business and economics.

my subjects are:
maths ext 1 (accelerated)
english ext 1
religion 2 u
french continuers
chemistry

these are quite academic subjects, so im not sure if i should do business which is easier to give me a bit of a break and then i could do well in it. or i can do economics which is more challenging. i find both really interesting and i do commerce and do really well in it. i've been leaning more towards ecos as it seems good and my teacher said i might get a bit bored in business.

I'd go with economics, its not that much harder than business.

Depends on what exactly you're interested in! Business, for me, can tend to get dry and memory-based, always remembering syllabus terms.
Economics is a bit more challenging but is a bit more interesting if you ask me. Both are great subjects. Try see what content each course holds and whether you find it interesting or not! Maybe you might want to do both!

Have a look at the HSC syllabus (avaliable on bostes online). Also consider how your school typically performs at HSC level in Business Studies compared to Economics.
