Can I do a film related text if my set text is a documntary TV Series (1 Viewer)

My prescribed text is Go Back to Where You Came from which is a TV miniseries. Would it still be okay to do a film as a related text or would it be considered to not show a wide range reading/ choice of texts by markers if they are both audio-visual texts.

there are no rules stopping you but you should use a different text type so you have more to contrast and compare with in your essay

I'd do a different related text+ form, simply because the question may ask about the textual form, and may involving comparing/contrasting.
