can i do med at unsw without UMAT? (atar 99.4+EAS) (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,
I am considering med at UNSW but is it possible to get in directly (i.e. no transfers from other courses) if i haven't done UMAT?

No, you needed to do UMAT, submit an application form and then be invited for an interview.

Some unis allow you to apply for med without umat but unsw definitely isn't one of them.

USyd is 99.95 ATAR, Griffith uni in QLD iirc is around 99.75 from what I've hear from my friends and I think places like JCU look at your application a lot but you need a 99's ATAR to be competitive. Hopefully someone who wants to do med and knows the system can clarify

So your options are JCU, Griffith and Sydney but the last two are provisional entry.

Well considering your ATAR is well below the .95 cutoff and that interviews were done two days ago, I would say no sorry

Only possibility is getting in with 99.55 if you want to do MBBS/Music, you'd have to do an audition though.

No Med has to consider ATAR, UMAT and interview as part of admission!
