Hi,
Firstly I want to thank you all for taking your time and viewing this. I am in great shock right now and am desperate in seeking for some advice.

So firstly, I really want to get at 95+ ATAR because the course I have always wanted to get into requires that ATAR. However, this year has not been so great to me at all.

My first English assessment task was 25% internal mark which means 12.5% HSC and I received a 44%
Then for math and I received 40% which was only 10% interally so 5% HSC
For chem i received 39% and that was also 10% internally so 5% HSC

However, I got these results right before my mid yearlies and I was so devastated. I couldn't concentrate on anything, I felt depressed, like I was worthless. I thought English would be my only hope since I was a top 15 English advance student out 115 and I came first in English Extension 1. I've never gotten below 80% for any of my English assessment and these were all in year 11.

I regret not putting all my effort in my mid year exam so I feel like I am going to fail math, chem and bio and for the rest of my subjects I don't think I've done the best to my ability. I know its about rank but my rank is not great at all. :/

Is there a possibility that i could get a 95 ATAR if I try really hard for my next assessment tasks and Trial HSC? or is all hope gone for me regarding HSC :/

Cant't really determine ATAR off marks, ie because schools have differing levels of assessment difficulty/leniancy on marking.

Provide your subject ranks and your school's rank.

I don't really have my ranks yet, however I know I am waay below average because no one did as bad as I did in my school. In fact, these assessments weren't really hard so everyone did really well. Like majority of them got above 60-70%

Then just improve your marks in assessments that are weighted more, trust me they make a huge difference.

The trials make up the biggest percentage of your internal marks so please keep trying your best, it is definitely not too late! If you have been getting consistently high English marks then I think it's safe to say you performed below your usual standard due to poor preparation, but this also means it doesn't require you to make a huge improvement to climb back up -- simply getting back into your previous zone will fix the problem. Trust me I can really relate to this. Not all hope is lost until the actual HSC exam when time's up and the pen is put down!
