So I go to a school ranked around 380.

My ranking for physics is 4/35 (total weighting assessed is 45%). The thing is that I haven't really got high marks for the first exam I got 29/42 and the second exam I got 21/31. Can I still get a band 6 for physics if I do really well in trials and next practical assessment?

In chemistry, I am ranked around 10/35 (not too sure) and the total weighting assessed is 45%. I have got around 29/35 for the first exam and for the second exam I got 22/30. Can I still get a band 6 for chemistry if I do really well in trials and next practical?

I have said this many times and I will say this again-don't worry about whether you will get it because worry does nothing but waste time, you are better off understanding your mistakes, rethinking of a more efficient or effective study timetable and take action to do better, and it is hard to answer your question because it really depends on what you mean by 'well' and also the rank of your school of which we have no objective information upon to make a subjective judgment.

Yeah keep your rank in the top 5 or 3 to be safe and smash the HSC.
