What I can't understand is how this guy will not accept that I have spoken with them at length about exactly what it is I will be doing, so why would I talk crap here?

I guess this is how you get your kicks when you are a nerd who has never had a girlfriend and a root. Maybe someday newbie, you could always just go to the cross maybe?

Documentation simply refers to the transfer pricing study/analysis (could be in either paper, word, or powerpoint format) prepared on behalf of the taxpayer by people like us to support that company's transfer pricing policy. In a tax audit, the tax authority will request and examine the TP documentation from the company for examination. Often, what's in a documentation is quite simple, it contains a short functional analysis (risks, contractual obligation, terms, etc) of the nature of the company's intercompany transaction, the best method selection process (see Wikipedia), and the meat of the documentation will be the comparables analysis section which documents the process from comparables screening, searching, accounting adjustments, to financial analysis to compute the profit level indicator.

Those are just baseless assumptions. You're scraping the bottom of the barrel with comments like that.

Look ,I HAVE RETURNED!!

I have been working in this job for a month or so now. and let me tell you it is exactly how I predicted, not all compliance work, infact hardly any. It is TP consultancy. Lots and lots of analysis. Benchmarking, economic analysis of the company, and risk analysis etc, to find like companies and arms length transactions to establish pricing. Dont even let me get into valuation of intangibles etc, now thats interesting stuff.

I am really enjoying the job and think i will enjoy it even more as time goes on. And working conditions in big4 here in copenhagen is incredibly good. Awesome lunch everyday, lots of free breakfast days and other things. ANd the best part is I normally finish at 4.30pm every day, and they are really flexible, can come in late or leave early if i need to. Only worry now is that the economic downturn could result in a jobloss, but fingers cross i dont have that problem.

And newbie, gd I am happy i dont listen to you and your 'im an investment banker i know all' wank

Could it be that your firm isn't getting much work now due to the downturn? I wish I could work your hours...
