Is it better to use 1 or 2 major case studies or several different ones for each different part of extended response

Depends! If it helps you elaborate on the question by all means use more than one, if it makes your response really confusing and your related doesn't answer the question but rather blankets it then stick to one

Doing only 1 case study reduces the amount of overhead. By overhead, I mean the generic info you end up remembering for each case study that is needed to introduce the case study to the marker, but doesn't actually gain any marks. It is perfectly possible to cover every aspect of the syllabus with just 1 case study (and by extension, the exam), unless you're writing about your local butcher or something...

I was told to do more than one, if possible 2-3. I think it's possible to do one as long as you cover all the dot points in the syllabus (?)
