Make T the subject.

The book's answer is T=V/U+A

Can there be more then one answer?

The answer in the book is wrong its T= (V-U)/A

shouldnt the answer be

T= (V-U)/A

and generally there isnt more than one answer if u make V the subject again from ur 2nd equation u'd end upwith

V= (T-A) x U

im going with the book's given u the wrong answer
