Does anyone know: the uses of precipitation reactions in everyday activites and industries??

This is for a chem assessment and I know its pretty basic but I can't come up with anything but condensation after a shower on mirrors!!

Hey there are a few-you can talk about how pharmacists react chloride ions with ferrous (Iron) to get Iron tablets or Magnesium etc. You cant eat the metal by itself but you can consume the solids that have precipitated out of solution.

You can also mention testing for the presence of substances like if you wanted to find out if there was silver (Ag+) in a solution, you add Sodium Chloride solution or something along the lines of that. The testing allows chemists to determine the chemical composition of a substance (they use this to test the minerals in soil as well).

Hope this helps :)
