Chem, Phys and Bio Olympiads (1 Viewer)

Just wanted to know,

What are the Chem, Phys and Bio Olympiads? Do you represent your school or do you do a test and get selected for a national team?

How do you apply for this [ especially at Hurlstone ] ? Do you have to ask permission from the science headteacher and sit the exam? Also does the exam consist of theory/practical questions from the Preliminary course or can it assess you on the Yr12 HSC Course?

Im faurly sure there is a national qualifying exam (NQE) for which your school registers. The top performers in the nqe are thenctaken to a workshop and a team for the international comp is selected

Look up at the top right of the internet browser, where it faintly says notifications and click there (i.e. check your inbox)

The school has to register you to sit the NQE (National Qualifying Exam) so you would want to talk to your Head of Science quickly to get that started. Then you take the NQE in I think August maybe... and whoever does the best in the country gets invited to the Olympiad summer school. Best of luck, if you've got any questions just ask!
