Hey everyone,

I've accepted an offer into the ABL course for UWS and I'm currently enrolling online.. I'm up to the step where I have to choose my 'Unit Sets'... I'm not 100% sure exactly what they are.. Are they just like subjects?..

What's the minimum/maximum I can/have to choose?..

Under Category, some are KPTESTAMUR, some are SUBMAJOR and 2 are SEQUENCE... Can anyoen explain the difference?..

Thanks alot

The KPTESTAMUR will mean your Key Program.
SUBMAJOR will mean Submajor.
Not sure about SEQUENCE, haven't seen this one before.

As far as I can understand, a unit set is like your sequence of subjects to do for a key program, major or submajor. A Key Program is an area of concentration or specialisation (usually 120-160 credit points) which most of your degree will be concerned with, then with your remaining subjects you choose to complete extra majors, submajors and electives. Most subjects will be worth 10 credit points...to complete a major or submajor you'll need to complete a certain amount of credit points.

There's a guide to enrolling here: http://www.uws.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0010/96598/OAR00203_1009_Enrolling_with_MySR_WEB.pdf

If you look up your course on the UWS website, there will be a page explaining each key program and what sequence of subjects you choose to complete it.

Sorry I can't be much more help, it's something I've never understood well myself.

^ Is it? I'm in the Key Program of Psych obviously, but I've got mates in Humanities and Languages KP, with English, Text and Writing majors and History submajors. The BA Program has changed since last year, which could be why.

mate just leave the unit sets bit, don't even worry about it. just pick your first year subjects and leave it at that.
