what are the range of solvents that may be used for chromatography and suggest mixtures that may be separated and identified by the use of these solvents?

i know that you use metho and water for paper chromatography... but i cant find anything else on other solvents

help please

I know that in the electrophoresis chromatography contains hot liquid aragose, which was poured into the gel tray containing a well-forming comb inside the electrophoresis tank. Once the gel set, the comb was removed. A buffer solution (methlyne blue) was poured on top of the gel to provide a conductive solution through which the current can pass.

i dont know what the bos wants for it's answer but generally solvent choice depends depends on the polarity (hence solubility) of your suspected sample.

also mixtures of solvents are often used
