civil/commerce at usyd or unsw? (1 Viewer)

hey im really interested in doing civil engineering/commerce but i dont know whether to do it at unsw or usyd ..i was considering trying to get a scholarship from the RTA to study civil at usyd and also apply into the advanced engineering program but i hear that engineering is much "better" at unsw?
any comments?

It's generally regarded that UNSW has a better engineering faculty, but their commerce degrees are pretty much even.

If I set my own year 12 exams including complex analysis questions in them would they be considered more highly regarded than the HSC?

the industry considers the degree more highly regarded. no one would consider sitting your own exams to be a means of a proper education

I must revise my comment above. UNSW is higher ranked at economics (in student quality I think) than Sydney.

I said that saying UNSW was better than USyd for Civil is wrong, the converse is also true, though I did not explicitly state it.
