Hello guys!

I was wondering what the demand of Civil Engineers is in Australia, Sydney? Would it be a good idea to do the course (pref. UTS) and would it be difficult to find a job?

Thanks in advance to all replies!

Not trying to discourage you but this is what ive heard: There's a slump in civil jobs ATM.

I doubt supply/demand is going to vary massively from uni to uni, and last semester on I2MS which is the current internship advertisement site at UTS, Civil had the least internship positions advertised. There are also a LOT of civil students, half or more UTS eng students are civil majors.

Thanks for the reply.

A lot of people tell me the exact same thing, however I don't see many official sources.

Here's a PDF showing that civil engineering has a 90.05% employment rate, which doesn't seem too bad.

If you do think Civil Eng. has a bad employment rate, could you please guide me to some sources! I'd honestly appreciate it as most sources say it's not that bad.

Take care :D
