I mean I def did not do my best but I’m still praying for early entry from either maq leaders and achievers or uts portfolio entry cause I feel like those are the only ones I reallly have a shot at. Srs prob won’t happen cause they def choose other people in my school over me
also id be careful of uts, they r cutting alot of courses + early entry slots atm. Idk if that applies to portfolio entry but i wouldn't be placing all my bets on uts

Hey everyone. Lets say we get an extract for Mod A (Tempest and Hagseed btw), if I have a prepared response but I link the extract and my prepared response and somehow form a decent essay, can I still get a good mark?

I think so, definitely. As long as you substitute in some quotes from the extract across your essay and also refer to the key theme/s presented in it, you should be good.

u dont need to have women in every paragraph, i think its better to have one paragraph about female marginalisation in both texts. there isn't enough content to just do an essay on women but i think its a really strong connection to make and presents a way in which pacino affirms Shakespeare's text. i think best structure is two big paragraphs, one for resonances and one for disonances
I’ve revised my Mod A essay so that women appear in each paragraph at least once or twice. However, if a question specifically focused on gender (which seems unlikely), would my essay still work even if women aren’t the central focus throughout?

I was thinking of framing Richard’s rise to power and his illegitimacy as reflective of patriarchal structures in the Elizabethan era, especially through the Great Chain of Being, to connect masculine and feminine portrayals of power. Would that still meet the expectations for a gender-based question?

someone help me on the mod a 2023 question please! how would i structure my paragraphs because it is more focused on the later text? like sometimes my teacher says if the question emphasises the later text more to analyse that first and then the original, but that doesn't make sense to me because it isn't chronological? is that ok?

Bro I swear those are the only topics in the book so I’m happy if they give us an extract/stimulus or specify a theme 😭
reall omg. also gender is fine, but mortality (i'd assume time as well) paragraphs are hell to adapt. like how am i supposed to show that daldry challenges values of contemporary society through mortality?? wtf

he makes people less afraid of death??? thats lowk what ive been writing rip
Yeah that’s why I didn’t talk about mortality as much like I briefly mentioned it but can’t talk about it for more than 2 sentences ☠ but going off the past extracts they’ve given most of them are about gender and since it’s the main theme I think they’d stick with that or probs go w time idm either

chronological yes, but like more emphasis on the analysis on the contrast between texts if that makes sense.
