I believe we should look to history, like our dear friend Al Gore.

He seems to have skipped over the fact the Mesozoic had a pretty warm climate though. I wonder, did the dinosaurs have cars and CFCs?
They had a lot of methane, though.

pman, you've been listening to 2gb, haven't you?
no, never....I've been doing my research and I've been brought up in a house full off climate change skeptics. I suppose what they say about your parents views rubbing off is kinda true

well...my father is a staunch atheist, my mother is hardly Christian.....I have however most likely had a biased evidence base available to me in the debate on climate change....monckton has a point when he says we should wait and see though....I'm open to it existing, I just think we should wait for proof before we waste my money

actually no, at one stage i was involved with the creation of a parody religion that never got anywhere (similar to the church of the flying spaghetti monster) and didn't believe a word of what I deemed to be the crap coming out of the religious peoples mouths.

About what exactly, how can you do anything about something that may not exist?

so what you're saying is, action in any regards is only appropriate when it is reactive rather than proactive? that preventive measures are in all redundant?

preventative measures are redundant when you don't know what your doing, may I bring to mind the cane toads in Australia...they were there to solve a problem and caused a worse one, why risk this with something we don't even know exists

switching to solar and wind probably aren't bad things...renewable etc but what if your using geothermal, do you know what thats actually going to do and making me buy cabin credits does nothing except raise prices. I actually fully support solar power, I don't believe in man made climate change

that is prob the way to go, especially the nuclear rector bit....but yeah, use the outback as a power farm and sell to NZ...I'm happy with that, we make money instead of wasting it!!!

how in fucks name are you going to sell power to new zealand you r-tard?

nuclear for base load ye

SEGS in California produces 384 MW from 6.5 km^2
NSW uses about 20,000 MW peak.

that means we'd need (hypothetically) 338.54 km^2 of solar panels.
land area of NSW is 809,444 km2

Edit: though obviously such a large amount of solar would be unreasonable, nuclear ftw
