Re: the emails - tbh it doesn't really change things. This is from one climate research unit. There are many. These bastards should be widely discredited for being twats, but it doesn't change the reality of climate change. It's more like they didn't do their job properly, didn't get the results they should have and didn't want egg on their faces.

Go and tell the Mauritians or Maldivians that climate change doesn't exist. Tell them again when their homes go underwater in a few years.

The irony is that, for the most part, the people who are so fanatically opposed to it are those obsessed with protecting the economy, the greedy ones, and on the local level it's ignorant idiots who just aren't willing to pay in order to help. Don't want to lose any money right now. But they don't realise that severe climate change will devastate the global economy worse than it's ever been hit before. Irreversibly destroyed, yet people don't want to make relatively small monetary sacrifice right now.
