What's wrong with black? A black dress with red shoes looks stunning.
How ironic..

I was working tonight and a chick in a black dress and red shoes came in... I didnt find it appealing at all... maybe it was because she was wider than she was tall... But I didnt even notice her dress, her shoes stood out too much... they were the colour of fresh blood...

I did quite like the idea of white....... since white would go with anything anyway hehe

hm... Silver maybe???

I think you should go for it! Once I saw this girl in Kookai trying on an olive green dress with red heels and she looked really hot, just make sure you have something that stands out on the top half as well otherwise all the focus will be on your shoes

Olive green might work, if the shoes were the right shade of red.

But I don't think that a pale green would. Wear the shoes when you try on the dress, get an impartial second opinion, and you'll look fine.

brown and black? ...I can't disagree with you more.

If anything I could say its dull but other than that :/

I've got brown hair and I do wear black a lot. I'll accesorise with brown eg a thick bracelet, or a belt to match it to my hair

Kinda what kylie's doing up there in that pic.

again :/

My favourite shoes are red, I wear them with EVERYTHING.
Just a pair of dark red flat mary-janes, best shoes ever. So comfy.

I have a question about colour co-ordinating!

I've recently bought 2 dresses - one is cotton and it's red, white and navy
the other is that stretchy kind of material and it's red and sky blue interwoven.

Now my next big spend will be on SHOES! I want red shoes. The question is can I wear deep red shoes even if one of my dresses' red is a brighter red?
Can I mix my reds? I know my belt and shoes should match, but can i mix-match reds??

If i was in your position i'd buy navy shoes and belt.

mostly because Navy goes with any shade of blue but i think red is less flexible.

This, however, is only my uneducated and daggy opinion which is most open to the scrutiny of BOS's resident fashionistas.

Alternatively, buy several extra pairs of shoes than you originally intended.

I'd say.... don't mix the reds. If you're going out a night say to a club or something, it's ok because the lights arent bright enough (and everyone is too gone) to notice the difference.
If you're wearing it in the daytime then people will notice. Okay so maybe only pedantic people like me, but still.

When people look at you from a few metres away, they'll probably notice (ok excluding guys because men hardly ever notice).

I'd say navy shoes my love, they mix with more stuff- you can wear them with nice white jeans which are in this summer AND those dresses AND jeans etc.
Red is cool but not so practical.

And that's practicallity advice from the girl who just bought black silk shoes for over 300 bucks which she didnt even need). <3 shoes!

ohh thanks guys! Yeah I was imagining not colour co-ordinating the reds and it didn't come out as a very nice picture in my mind.

because I have white in both dresses, I was actually considering going for white shoes and white waist belt, seeing as though u can't really have different shades of white (unless one's dirtier than the other).

I really love these red leather shoes from Wittner, so I'm just going to pray that the red in the shoes matches the 2 dresses coz they're damn comfy and sexy! lol I'm going to be one of those people who take dresses and belts into shoe shops to match  how embarrassing lol
