This is not true. You can do 2 majors in commerce and 1 major in eco for comm/eco

kaz1 - I think you can only do 1 major for commerce in B Commerce/Eng and 2 majors in engo (If you really want 2 majors for commerce consider comm/science).

UNSW Handbook Program - Engineering/Commerce - 3715

Check handbook for reference, pretty sure you will find a lot of info there.
lol i just assumed cause I looked into comm/science, comm/eng and eng/sci..

You usually only do the core engineering courses in your first year and later on rotate between commerce and engineering courses.

From UNSW handbook, UNSW Handbook Program - Engineering/Commerce - 3715
Year 2
S1
Science & Engineering courses 24 units of credit

S2

Commerce courses 24 units of credit

Year 3
S1
Commerce courses 24 units of credit

S2

Science & Engineering courses 24 units of credit

Year 4
S1
Science & Engineering courses 12 units of credit
Commerce courses 12 units of credit

S2
Science & Engineering courses 12 units of credit
Commerce courses 12 units of credit

Year 5
S1
Science & Engineering courses 24 units of credit

S2
Science & Engineering courses 24 units of credit

Year 6
Commerce courses 24 units of credit
Workload is greater for engineering than commerce in terms of contact hours.

1 major from commerce but u can do 2 majors for science e.g. maths + stats.

For example, I will do Commerce (Actuarial Studies) + Science (Maths + Stats)

Under the particular study pattern of maths + stats, u can achieve both majors.

http://www.maths.unsw.edu.au/students/current/ugactuarialprograms.html
link fails for some reason..
According to the UAC book on page 227.. it says:
Additional info: ...
The combined degrees permit students to complete one or two Commerce majors as well as one or two majors from another faculty.

after reading that.. it doesnt really allude to any restrictions to choosing two majors in both commerce and science..

In most cases, double degrees allow you one major in each discipline, so for commerce/science, it would be one major in commerce, and one major in science. In some cases, people want to do 2 majors in commerce and one major in science for example, and this can sometimes be granted if you apply to both faculties and go through the relevant process etc. It will also add to the length of your degree, but if you think it will go well with what you are doing, then it is worth a shot imo

Man i thought u were allowed to do 2 commerce majors n 1 science major for com/sci instead of the other way around. I wanna do actuarial and finance majors in commerce. Does that mean i have to do a a single commerce degree for the two majors? or is there a double degree that allows me to choose 2 majors from commerce.

Yes there is, comm/eco, though some would be skeptical as to whether to classify this as a double degree. But comm/eco allows for 2 majors in comm and 1 for eco
