What is the differance between doing Commerce/Economics and just normal Commerce where you major in economics. Is it worth doing the double degree?

I asked a Commerce lecturer on this once and he said the BEc was exactly that.

I suppose you could do it if you want more majors but doing a BCom alone takes a year less and gets you out into the workforce earlier.

People usually do Commerce/Economics to extend their degree by a year. 3 years is a short time.

BCom (Hons) is 4 years as well and is highly regarded.

Besides, an extra year means more uni debt and one year less in the workforce.
