If I choose European Studies as my major for the International Studies component, do I have to study a European language alongside it? I only want to go on exchange to the UK and I really don't want to learn a new language.

Hey, have you tried to call the relevant faculty (I think it's arts or ASB) because they will probably be able to answer your questions accurately. If I choose European Studies as my major for the International Studies component, do I have to study a European language alongside it? I emailed the ASB earlier today, and I hope to get a response before the 4th of January!Hey, have you tried to call the relevant faculty (I think it's arts or ASB) because they will probably be able to answer your questions accurately.
From that handbook I'm assuming you don't, but for Int studies there is a language component. I'll definitely ask them to make sure!http://www.handbook.unsw.edu.au/undergraduate/plans/2014/EUROA13558.html
doesn't say anything about having to learn a language so I guess not? Although it would be preferable if you were planning to go on exchange to a non-english speaking country. Since you are looking at the UK I guess it doesn't really matter.
I would still check with faculty when uni opens up again
