I had no idea that people actually did cheerleading. i thought that it was jus for movies...

lol. mate, cheerleading can be found @ sports events (or you mean for school?). i actually just found someone today at school who does cheerleading for the sydney roosters (not the actual cheerleaders, like.. the younger versions who can still be found at the games).

Isn't year 10 a bit too early to think about getting that 100 UAI? And you will find that you need friends to get through life, let alone the preliminary and HSC years, so don't go ditching them too early.

I would agree with SoulSearcher - you will lose far more by devoting 3 years of your life to a relatively insignificant certificate than you will by enjoying a variety of activities and socialising.

Besides, if you're aiming for a perfect UAI, you're probably very smart (far smarter than me), which means that you can afford to relax a little and still do well. There was one guy at our school who held a leadership position, played soccer, cricket, several music groups, debating, did mock trial, peer support, mooting and community service whilst still hitting 99.00 and having an active social life.

I'd just ask yourself, why do you want a perfect UAI? If you can find a reason good enough to spend several of the most fun years you'll have studying for those extra few marks, then please let me know, I could do with the motivation this last year.

If you're smart enough to achieve a perfect UAI you probably wouldn't need to study all that much. If you know that you are not extremely talented (I'm not assuming that you're not) then don't bother going for such a high score unless you really need a scholarship or something like that. Just study consistently and have some fun. Once your teenage years are gone they'll never come back.

Soccer! Don't play competition anymore(retired hehe) but still occasionally play at the park or fairfield indoor centre with my old team mates.

I was really busy last year:

Mon - Tutor & school hw
Tues - Soccer training
Wed - Tutor & school hw
Thurs - Soccer training
Fri - Tennis
Sat - Soccer match, tutor
Sun - Swimming, tutor & school hw

Now its just:

Mon - Gym, tutor & school hw
Tues - Gym, tutor & school hw
Wed - Tutor & school hw
Thurs - Gym, tutor & school hw, work
Fri - Gym, Tutor & school hw
Sat - Tutor, gym, work
Sun - Swimming, tutor & school hw
