I'm confused for both questions a) and b)

a) By how much do we need to rotate and stretch z1 to obtain P? What quantity does 1+i represent in terms of its modulus/argument? What are the angles of the triangle OAP? How does this relate?

b) By part a), how do we obtain Q? Now that we have P and Q, we can easily compute the midpoint.

for a) i think we need to rotate it 45 degrees - but what do you mean by stretching it and how does this have anything to do with triangles there are no triangles in the question ... i dun geddit :(

For a, consider the vector and rotate it 90 degrees to achieve the vector

Let P represent the complex number p









b)

We do something very similar for Q, except we rotate about point B (remember we always rotate anti-clockwise),
Then add and divide by 2
