Confidence intervals and hypothesis testing (1 Viewer)

To all you stats students, can you please give me some sort of steps/formulas in order to answer most of these sorts of questions effectively. I feel like there is too much info and I don't know where to start.

know the feeling :cry:

for CIs:
point estimate ± critical value * standard error

hypothesis testing:

figure out the null and alternate hypothesis
determine the critical value
check against the evidence [sample mean]
reject either the null or alternate

For CI you need to know whether you are using Z or T value. For Hypo test you need to know what type of test you are doing. For example, two-sample test, one-sample test, goodness-of-fit test, test of independence.......so on. If you don't know which hypo test you are using, you are pretty much fucked.

As for order to answer hypo test, use HATPC. LOL please tell me you know that, other wise happy failing.
