For conflicting perspectives, how many related texts do we need and do they need to present differing perspectives - or just the one and we make our own judgment on it? Related texts are really hard to find!

You should prepare for two if they do ask for "at least two", but it's generally one. It just needs to have conflicting perspectives, and should conform with your thesis.

Hard to find? What? COnflicting perspectives is about how ones perspective of an event is presented, and how alternative perspectives are skewed etc. Use any news article...or use any john pilger films (they are 1 hour long and on google videos), they are absolutely easy to analyse

This. As for related texts, the breakfast club is a really good one. You could also try court room dramas like episodes of the Good Wife, Jag or the movie A Few Good Men.

use two. Also there's conflicting perspectives in almost anything. Don't think it has to be political to be a conflicting perspective.

I have a feeling lots of people will be using wiki leaks, since that is a very obvious one. Whilst something doesn't need to be political, it makes it a lot easier to explain if it is. Most issues end up possessing political connotations anyway.

Whatever your related text is, make sure it has some kind of link to your related that you can argue in your essay. Just makes life easier for you and keeps a cohesive structure.
