Hey guys,

so ive just started my core composition process,
and I've come up with the concept/intent of
showing the initiation process of a zulu warrior...

The thing is i really cant find any music to suit.
the process is
*appealing to the spirit world through ritual hymns and
herbal mixtures
*to be zulu then goes to slay a lion and drink its blood... (i don't have music for this part)
*the king throws a ceremony and zulu receives his war paint (don't have this either)

I'm trying to stay as traditional as possible but ill accept anything
I also want to know of what you guys think of my idea
coz i dont know how its going to work
do you think it will work??

any help would be greatly appreciated
xx ally

Hi Ally,
I'm doing my Core Comp too and i'm having the same trouble.... NO MUSIC!
It's soo hard to find music with no lyrics that is dynamic enough to dance to :vcross:!!!!

My idea is something fun like a kids birthday party and like going through phases of like thinking no one will turn up to then go to everybody there and showing the joy and fun followed by saying goodbye to everyone and being tired after a big day... blah blah... I'll keep my eye out for tribal music if you could do the same for me?

Thanks

Morgan..

hey, try some of the mars volta's stuff. they have some pretty weird sounding stuff but some of it is reaaalllly good :)

or if your music department at school lets you you may be able to pull the layers apart and take the vocals of a track. it takes a lot of fiddling tho.
