That's probably the answer they want, but whoever thought up these two table questions has no idea.
The whole concept of relative positions is lost once you add a second table.
Unless we put a divider between the tables so they can't see each other.
This shit bothers me so much. There are so many questions like that where it's obvious what they want but you still know deep down that there was something wrong.

I can't speak for your trial, but you don't usually face this problem in the HSC itself.
Except for the 1997 2 unit probability question.

yeah they are always really clear in HSC i've noticed that. my trial was fine as well, both years.
