Just some quick notes i did for crime, kinda read right b4 the exam kinda thing.

Plus, here are some cases and legislation that might be useful:

Crimes Act 1900 (NSW)
Primary legislation dealing with Crimes in NSW

Bail Act 1986 (NSW)
Sets out rules for Bail in NSW

Crimes (Sentencing Procedures) Act 1999 (NSW)
Deals with judicial discretion in relation to sentencing

Jury Act 1982 (NSW)
Sets out rules for juries

Summary Offences Act 1988 (NSW)
Sets out minor crimes in NSW

Drug Misuse and Trafficking Act 1985 (NSW)
Sets out drug laws in NSW

Victims Rights Act 1996 (NSW)
Sets out the charter of Victims Rights for victims of crimes

In sentencing - what is the presentation of character reference and the victim impact statement? is this basically <insert name> is a good bloke, ive known him for yada yada (like for a job) , and then the VIS being <insert name> caused this and this to happen to me.. i lost my job etc.?

and then, what is the administration of sentence?

Character yes will usually include such stuff as hard working, strong in the community, no prior convictions etc. or it could be negative as well, from the prosecution.

victim impact statement are how the crime has affected the victim emotionally/physically/financially.

adimistration of sentence includes such things as security classification (for a custodial sentence) and whether protective custody is required (again for custodial sentences)

I read ur notes it's really useful, however, are you able to give some help with ESSAY writing. I seem to fail with essay writing only - with definitions etc I get like 85+% for all the tests, but when it comes to essays I get like ~60%.
