from what i know, lifeguards told the group to move on, or gave them some sort os direction.. the group spoke in some arabic language[ probably swearing] and refused to budge

the lifesavers asked em what they said, the lebs, so typical of them, decided to beat them up for little reason....

theres violent groups in cronulla and the surrounding suburbs apparently, the reporter is saying most of the breaking has stopped now because there is no more windows left to break, every shopfront, every house on main road, every car...

ok from what the reporter is saying, it sounds like there was a fuckload of gangs and the few police who were on the scene were scared to approach the gangs brandishing weopons and such. the police were given directions to stop them getting into an area but not make arrests

they dont have the numbers as in 1 cop or more likely 5-10 isnt enough to stop a mob

edit: reporter just said"theres really no point attempting to make an arrest here, they dont have the manpower to do it"
