Post what you answered for some of the questions. Put a little bit of the question in so we know what you are talking about.

For the multiple choice section, the one for the angle of polygon equals 24(I think), I put 14 as 360x(14-2)/180 = 24

wasn't it 15
cause the interior angle was (15-2)x180/15= 156
and then 180-156=24??

multiple choice q8 with the two trapeziums.

did anyone else answer C 11 - I used trapezoidal rule.

-Also was use of limiting sum correct in the probability die question where Andrea eventually wins (6/11 was my answer0

Any luck with last question of Q15 (tan^2+1=sec^2)
?
This is how I did it
you already had from previous parts

x1=(2h)tan
y1=(2h)cos^2

x1^2=((2h)^2) x tan^2
x1^2=((2h)^2) x sec^2 - 1 using (tan^2+1=sec^2)
x1^2=((2h)^2) x 1/cos^2 - 1
x1^2=((2h)^2) x 1/y1/2h -1
x1^2=((2h)^2) x 2h/y1 -1

squaring both sides then gives

x1= 2h x Square root of 2h/y1 -1

sorry if that was hard to understand

Yeah I got 15 as well because I just did 360/24 because the exterior angle sum is 360 degrees so I got 15. What did people get for the Joly financial question (years and months)?

lol I got that too but I think it's 4 years 4 months because instead of using 1.004^n for the geometric sum you gotta use 1.004^(n+1). Damn
wait why do we have to use 1.004^(n+1)

wait why do we have to use 1.004^(n+1)
Because the thing was:

A1 = 250 (1.004) + 250
A2 = 250(1.004)^2 + 250(1.004) + 250
A3 = 250(1.004)^3 + 250(1.004)^2 + 250(1.004) + 250
= 250 (1+1.004+1.004^2+1.004^3)
so An = 250(1+1.004+1.004^2+...+1.004^n)
Basically since the last term is to the power of n and the first term is 1 there is actually n+1 terms not just n terms.

15,000 = 250(1.004^(n+1) - 1 / 0.004)

EDIT: lol jks I don't know

you got 96... wtf are you doing maths again for
I got 99 in hsc exam but I had a pretty poor ranking of 16th so I got 93 in the assessment mark because I flunked out one of the exams in school. This year tho im ranked much higher in the top 2 before this exam today, so I reckon I can improve it this year.
