- the scene where Book bashes the other guy
- the horse buggy is in front of the truck
- when samuel looks up at the statue of the angel holding up the injured man (train station)
- when samuel witnesses the murder in the bathroom
- the amish walking up the hill (first scene)--> symbolising unity and working together contrasting with the scene of samuel in the police station (everyone doing their own thing, sense of individualism and isolation)
