A lot of people in my year had the same mindset as you .. towards the end of year 12 they realised 12 units is too stressful and dropped down to 11 or 10

It will make it much easier for you; 1 unit still counts btw
That's why I backed up by making units 11 and 12 both 1 unit so I can still have one spare. If things get too rough I'll probably drop Ext Hist and keep it at 11.

I didn't know that. That's a good tip :)
LOL Ealdoon, don't listen to that. That is some of the worst advice you can ever have. George, you must have one of the saddest lives out if you truly believe that.

During a week there is so much time to get everything done + socialising + facebook + sport + anything else you want to do.

People who put HSC above everything esle and cut numerous things out of their life for no reason are just introverted basements who are afraid of social contact.

I have a very good life actually..

Friendships do tend to break up during the HSC - it was the first thing my year coordinator told us, and she was right.

Once its all over, everything will be back to normal, but during the trials and half yearlies, etc. a lot happens as a result of stress

Listen to whoever you like - I've been through it, and i know what its like.
I think it's much more realistic to have a life during the HSC :) By the way, barbernator has been through it as well :p

no.. i'm not saying don't have a life..

I'm just saying that during the HSC, people start to dog you

I dont mean you shouldn't have a social life etc..

"Friends don't exist" doesn't mean there's no such thing during the HSC, it means that that is when the stress takes over and everyone isn't as "close" - after the HSC it is much better though.

It is important to have a life during the HSC - you can't just study study study..

everyone deals with HSC differently I guess, but I see no reason why you cannot maintain a social life and HSC study goals at the same time.

This 100%. You can still go to parties, go out, meet people etc. and still do well (though not in exam weeks)

Even if you forget about simple fun and enjoying yourself though and the only thing you care about is marks, its still good to have friends. Me and one of my mates shared EVERYTHING in year 12, even our essays before assessments and stuff because we knew that the other guy wouldn't copy it. I'll be honest, I would not be where I am now without his help and I reckon he'd say the same thing.

No.

Going to university and entering the real world is the best time of your life
Is it good? Of course, however you the best time? School was the most enjoyable, working full time and uni part time doesn't cut it.

Nope.

If you cut them off, they will continue to stay cut off. People go their separate ways. Some will stay, no doubt about that, but it never works out perfectly like that.

You are quite naive.
