I did SDD i hope that it would beat my 2002 physics mark of 90.

But i realised that I need around top 99% of state to just beat it by a little bit.....

u gotta also love the course to do it
can't tell me you do every single subject for the scaling, i do sdd because i like it, minimal study gets me a good mark, that shows how much i know and enjoy about the course.

I've always thought the scaling for Software Design was a bit low. I guess I should be happy that it's above average though.. :apig:

i agree witht hat, Maths and English and Science subject fair enough i believe they MUST be scaled since all 3 subjects make up every subject anyways, without maths and science there wouldn't be software, but what i dispise the most is languages, it's literally absurd, i mean if a student was multi-lingual and just did the languages they were good at, and aced it without studying, but in fact they were plain stupid at maths and science and sucked at everything else, how does that work out, and they applied to do engineering in UNI lol, how rigd is that?!

I don't think you just learn the language.

You probably need to apply it to answer questions/write essays.

In order of what i hate in SDD:

1) Algorithms
2) Scenarios
3) Stupid teacher
4) Crap scaling

Everything else is pretty good.

Except for number 3, I completely agree. The scenario's really get to me.. I'm dreading the day when I open up the SDD HSC exam paper and see scenario questions that take up two pages.. :(

If you think SDD is bad... take a look at Design and Technology

*Thumbs Down*

EDIT: Well i guess I can see why it scales bad... heheheh

sheesh, for a student who's not software savvy like most of us doing this course, the course really is difficult you know, especially majority of teachers aren't barely qualified, except some.

Same goes to me, unless they tell me what the algorithm is for i wouldnt understand it, its far too different from coding.

I find writing them the hardest.

Like write an algorithm using an array of records to perform this.

If that comes in the HSC exam im gonna stab the supervisor
