With design an experiment questions whats the best way to set it out???
like Aim, than equipment method etc.

or just describe what u can do....

also do u have to list the dependent and independent variables + risk factors??

heres an example: A type of plant which grows in tasmania drops it leaves under high temperature to preserve water. Design an experiment to investigate temperature at which leaves start to drop.

In this question what would be the independent and dependent variables??

I would set it out as if I was doing a scientific report, excluding the results, conclusion and discussion, obviously. I once described what I would do, and the teacher told me she docked marks because of the format. Had a look at others with full marks and they had it set out as a scientific report. Listing the variables is essential, and doing an evaluation of safety would be nice too. Don't forget to explain what your control would be, and what variables you are going to control.

Regarding the example:

Dependent variable:
Leaves dropped/rate of leaf drop

Independent variables:
Temperature (if you're graphing, this is the one you use)
Size of the plant
Humidity
Soil pH
Light intensity etc.

List them under a new sub-heading. The important thing is to make it as clear and consise as possible, and the best way to do it is the report layout. But this does not mean that you can't include other sub-headings: the question asks you to design and experiment, and not to report on it.
