Hallo, I need help wit da phisics. Much appreciated if u can azzist.

1) Instead of permanent magnets, how would you draw a simple DC motor that uses electromagnets instead? The same way except electromagnets replaced with permanent magnets? How would the 'simple' electromagnets look like?

2) Energy transformation is a key part of all physical systems. In fact the conservation of energy plays a vital role in all parts of our life, from the baking of a cake to the production of nuclear medicine. Discuss the energy transformation that occurs in supplying power to your home.

All stages where the energy is transformed and into what form would be nice.

3) In a recent motor show a large car company stated that they would have everyone driving electric cars within the next 20 years. On a technical side the car that is going to revolutionise the industry uses a simple AC induction motor. Discuss how the rate of turn of the induction motor can be varid.

4)a) Discuss whether an American hair dryer would work in Australia?
b) Explain how you could observe an AC output

5) Discuss whether AC induction motors that work at 50Hz produce any back EMF

Fanx!

Attached file is a very rough diagram of electromagnets.
I didn't draw direction of current in the coils, but u can if u want.

Burning Coal -> [chemical energy to thermal] -> Heat boils water -> [thermal energy to kinetic energy] -> Pushes turbines/producing electricity -> kinetic energy to electric energy -> ...etc etc

Just a quick example.

a) An American hair dryer will probably not work because the rating is usually not at 240VAC@50Hz. From memory they work at the frequency of 60Hz and have a different power socket anyway.

b) Use a CRO
