Did any one get high UAI 90 + will low scaling subjects? (1 Viewer)

i am in yr 11 and im doing

3u maths maybe 2 units later on =(
adv english
physics
business studies
geography
economics

are these bad scaling subjects?

3U Maths, Physics and Economics actually scale well relative to other subjects. As does Advanced English.

Not too sure about Business Studies and Geography but my understanding is that they don't scale quite as well as the others.

you could get UAI of 100 with almost any combination. If you can get 90+ in 5 subjects your almsot guranteed 97-98+ UAI.

I know people who have got 95+ with low scaling subjects. The only reason they are low scaling is because 'less intelligent' people do them thinking they are the easiest- when often they have more content then higher scaling ones.

Do the subjects your enjoy/are good at. Usually the ones you enjoy are the ones you are good at.

I did, and your subjects scale to the moon compared to mine. Work hard and you'll be right.

Lol your subjects are heaps good.. Anyways, I've collected these testimonies from random BoSers who did 'crap' scaling subjects:

I did shit subjects. Still managed a 93.30.

General maths
PDHPE
Retail

I honestly thought I was capped at high 80s. There's some motivation for the people with softer subjects.

ii did low scaling subjects too

& still managed to get a UAI of 93

as long as u kill it in your low scaling subjects you'll get pretty high

i did all low scaling subjects

1. stand eng - 92
2. pdhpe - 94
3. community and family studies- 94
4. hospitality 94
5. 2 unit maths. 95

and got a uai of 97.8.

maybe the 2 unit maths scaled me up but i wouldnt have got anywhere near 97.8 if it wasn't for my "low scaling" subs

I didnt get a high 90+ uai, but I did get 91.05. My subjects were fairly low scaling. I did eng standard, textiles, business, mod history and religion II unit.
My school wasnt that high scaling either...
